In perhaps the most important Congressional battle this year, that weird kid with the cool dog will be battling the greatest linguist in history. That’s right, the perennial underdog will be duking it out with the animal translator turned naturalist for a coveted seat at the Round Table.

In what is proving to be a close race, Democratic candidate Charlie Brown is making big promises. While quick to point a critical eye at incumbent, Republican Dr. Doolittle, Mr. Brown has recently had trouble keeping his own critics at bay.

At a recent press conference, Charlie Brown lashed out at reporters for criticizing his poor math skills. Mr. Brown quipped, “Well, what the hell do you expect? That’s why I have made schools one of my highest priorities. How can you expect a kid to learn if they can’t understand a single word any of the adults are saying? Maybe my opponent can understand - the guy can talk to ducks - but until we get some teachers in the classromm that our kids can understand, we’re stuck at square one. The current Congressman, Dr. Doolittle, is too busy taking money from special interests to pay attention to our schools. California will not be safe until we have a representative that values our kids more than his animal friends. ”

An aide to Dr. Doolittle, Gub-Gub the pig, declined to comment.

My wife is out of town, so I was fortunate enough to be able to take my son to hockey practice yesterday. One of the kids on the ice was pestering him nonstop. Wherever JR would go, this kid would be right behind him, pushing and bumping. After enduring it for awhile, he got pissed.

I used this opportunity to start a YouTube account, and get involved there. Check out my directorial debut

Very amusing episode. Apparently, it wasn’t allowed to run on TV due to complaints from Tom Cruise. “Tom Cruise, please come out of the closet.” Scientologists, I am not making fun of your “religion”, so don’t sue me.

Holy shit, I’m a nerd. Or pretty nerdy, at least according to some Nerd Test I just took. Perhaps this is some karmic justice for all those weggies I handed out in grammar school.

Will Ferrell is absolutely fantastic. Comedic genius for sure. I like Will almost as much as I dislike GW. There is a spoof out there of Ferrell as Bush talking about global warming. While trying to dig that up, I stumbled across this video - originally located at MoveOn.org, it is now available to all.

This has to be the worst mountain bike crash I have ever seen. How far down could that possibly be? 50 feet??? Crazy bastard.

A post from Zawodny’s link blog hit my RSS reader yesterday. A quick one-liner reading “Flickr: Photos tagged with firstgoatse: hahaha… what an awesome use of flickr :-)” intrigued me, so I followed the link and had a good laugh.

I was a little surprised to find out this morning that Jared had never heard of the Goatse, and thought it would be fun to hit him with the link, and grab a quick photo. His reaction was fantastic, so I decided to upload his picture, joined the Goatse group, and added Jared’s picture to the group.

Within an hour, the picture had been viewed 530 times! Sooo…. I told a friend “throw on a BOTW t-shirt cuz I wanna take your picture while looking at a really gross pic”. I gave a brief history of the Goatse, and she was game. Once again, her pictures came out hilarious, so I added added them. With the enhanced features of Flickr’s notes, I was able to add a **shameless plug** note with our domain name.

As of this writing (approx two hours after posting the pics), Jared’s picture has been viewed 1143 1460 times and the two of Liz (1 and 2 ) have been seen a combined 1230 times. So with some creative product placement, I was able to have fun with some friends, and get the BOTW name in front of thousands of eyeballs.

Amazing, this internet thing….
